MDC right angle 2-3/4 Conflat valve, AV-150M-P-01-11. This is a "new old stock" MDC right angle valve with 2-3/4 Conflat flanges.

The bonnet seal is copper. The poppet seal is Kalrez. It is pneumatically actuated, and is equipped with mechanical position indicator switches.

As received by us, this valve was in the opened original bag as shown in the first picture, with foil and protective caps on both flanges. This valve is relatively heavy and bulky, owing to (1) the copper bonnet seal and (2) the mechanical position indicator switches.

Note that the poppet seal on this valve is Kalrez (designated by the -11 option in the MDC reference number). Compared to the typical Viton poppet seal material, Kalrez is capable of tolerating higher bakeout temperatures (with poppet open), and has greater resistance to some chemicals. Please note, however, that Kalrez has a substantially higher permeation rate for helium than Viton does. Pneumatic actuation (air to open, spring to close).

Pneumatic port is 1/8 NPT-F. 120 VAC solenoid valve on pneumatic port; mating DIN electrical connector is in place. This valve should be as described upon receipt.
